With their simple presence, wolves make a place vibrant and unpredictable, guaranteeing the health of an ecosystem and exciting encounters for those who follow in their footsteps. Their strength and agility, their lust for life, are constantly obvious in their movements, playful behaviour and hunting strategies. From the snowy peaks of the Apennines to the beaches (yes!) of the Mediterranean, observing a wolf in the wild is a privilege that makes feel good, making life worth living. Of the hundreds of hours spent in the cold, wind or sun, trying to understand something more about these ghosts, many memories and a few good pictures remain.
